Plaiting for fashion

Tools needed:

-Hair brushes
-Hair grips and ties

Method:

The Wiggle Plait
  1. Begin with a normal 3 section plait, plait it to the end, not too tight
  2. Hold the plait with the two sections facing outwards and push the middle section back up and loosen. Secure with grips

Fairytail/ Waterfall
  1. Begin with 3 strands and follow the pattern of a French plait
  2. Plait twice and then instead of bringing more hair into the handful, you drop this section (ideally have the model hold it out of the way) and then replace with a new section
  3. Continue this to the end of the plait

Slip Knot Tie
  1. Begin with the front section of hair
  2. Split the hair into two handfuls and tie a knot, have the model hold the ends between their fingers
  3. Take the next section from the temple and bring up to knot again, again have the model hold these ends
  4. For the third section, bring the first sections of hair underneath the second to join the handfuls and knot
  5. Bring the second section of hair underneath the third to knot with the fourth and continue this pattern down the hair, securing at the end

Tip: Use a piece of cloth to create a messy effect by rubbing it over the surface for a messy, runway look.
